OAT PROTEIN PANCAKE is a ready-to-use mixture of oat flour and flakes and a balanced selection of proteins. Oats are a valuable cereal for the body's wellbeing, and are a source of fibre, vitamins, proteins and many other nutrients. Compared to other cereals, even when processed it retains the germ and bran that contain most of the nutrients, so it is a much more complete and healthy food. Nutritionally, oat grains consist mostly of starches and carbohydrates (60-70%), but they are an excellent source of vegetable protein (about 15%) and good fats. Its peculiarity is that it releases energy for many consecutive hours due to its molecular structure, which is digested very slowly and gradually by the intestine. Another aspect to note is that it does not cause major spikes in insulin levels in the blood. Compared to other flours, oatmeal has as many as 5 essential amino acids, which are indispensable for the body's proper functioning. The body cannot synthesise them on its own and therefore they must be taken in with food. Oatmeal contains the EAAs Phenylalanine, Isoleucine, Leucine, Methionine and is particularly rich in the amino acid Lysine, which tends to be deficient in cereals. It is therefore considered a great ally in slimming diets. Oats provide approximately 370 kcal per 100 grams, so it is not a low-calorie cereal, but its characteristics make it an ideal substitute for wheat in slimming diets. It is in fact a low glycaemic index food with high satiating power that helps control hunger pangs. It contributes several benefits to the body:

  • Cholesterol: oats contain beta-glucans and pectin that are useful in keeping 'bad' cholesterol levels under control (as stated by the FDA ,Food and Drug Administration) and are also useful in preventing heart disease, cardiovascular disease and stroke.
  • High digestibility: an excellent ally of the stomach, intestines and the entire digestive system, it is an easily digestible cereal, benefiting those suffering from gastritis and digestive disorders
  • Bowel regularity: thanks to high fibre content
  • Bone, tooth and memory wellbeing: phosphorus is present in large quantities and contributes to the wellbeing of bones, teeth and memory by aiding the cell rebuilding process.
  • Blood pressure and water retention: minerals include iron, calcium, zinc and potassium, which are essential for regulating blood pressure, transmitting nerve impulses and eliminating water retention.
  • Insomnia and nervousness: oats contain certain alkaloids such as gramina and avenalumina and organic substances that can positively affect mood, counteracting insomnia and nervousness.
  • Vitamin intake: contains vitamin A and B vitamins

It is very easy to prepare and it only takes a few minutes for your OAT PROTEIN PANCAKES to be ready to eat. With our packet you can make 45 pancakes. Preparation for 3 pancakes: Mix 50 g of product with 50 ml of water with a fork until the mixture is smooth and lump-free. Preheat a non-stick frying pan over high heat for a few minutes and pour in 1/3 of the mixture. Wait 30 seconds and turn the pancake over, wait 15 seconds for the second side and your pancake is ready to be enjoyed hot au naturel or with your favourite topping (peanut butter, maple syrup, honey, fresh fruit, chocolate).
