Glyco Gain Vitargo

Glyco-gain Vitargo is a powder dietary supplement suitable for adult sportsmen and women who perform intense and prolonged muscular exertion. The product contains 100% Vitargo®, a high-molecular-weight complex carbohydrate derived from barley starch patented by the Karolinska Institute in Sweden. Its main characteristic is its high average molecular weight (500,000-700,000), making it completely different from other products such as maltodextrins. During intense and prolonged exercise, i.e. when rapid recovery is required, Vitargo® becomes essential as it compensates for the loss of muscle glycogen quickly and effectively. The main characteristic of Vitargo® is that it allows the preparation of a solution with a very low osmolarity but at the same time ensures that the drink is rich in carbohydrates, which results in faster gastric emptying and the release of glucose into the blood from the intestines. The maximum rate of glycogen synthesis occurs by administering 1.0- 1.85 g/kg/hour of carbohydrate immediately after training at 15-60 minute intervals until 2-3 hours after the end of muscle activity. Vitargo® contributes to the recovery of normal muscle function (contraction) after intense and/or prolonged exercise involving muscle fatigue and depletion of glycogen reserves in skeletal muscles. The beneficial effect is obtained by consuming carbohydrates from all sources totalling 4 g per kg of body weight, in doses to be started within the first 4 hours after intense and/or prolonged exercise involving muscle fatigue and depletion of skeletal muscle glycogen reserves, and to be completed within 6 hours after such exercise.

Pure high molecular weight maltodextrin (Vitargo®, waxy maize starch).

Take 35 g of the product, dissolved in 300 ml of water, once a day, between meals.
